Dr. Shannon Estrada

Dr. Shannon Estrada is a California native who moved to Seattle to study naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University. She developed her passion for complementary and alternative medicine while studying integrative biology at the University of California Berkeley. It was during her undergraduate career as a pre-med student when she realized the current medical model wouldn’t allow her to help future patients in a full capacity – that’s where her journey to discovering naturopathic medicine began. Dr. Estrada is dedicated to providing holistic, evidence-based medical services that aim to treat the underlying cause of disease.

Dr. Estrada built a naturopathic primary care practice in downtown Seattle where she practiced for over 3 years. After the birth of her second child in July of 2018, she made the tough decision to move on from the practice. Dr. Estrada has since then established Evo Naturopathic Medicine & Wellness. She is excited to provide integrative, holistic health care to all Washington residents through the use of telemedicine. And since becoming a mother to two boys, Dr. Estrada has become passionate about helping all mothers prioritize themselves and their health! When not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing Pilates, going for walks and cooking.

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine focuses on finding the underlying causes of disease and removing the obstacles that are preventing wellness

Dr. Estrada’s medical practice skillfully blends traditional, scientific and modern methods to provide the most comprehensive and effective health care for her patients. She believes that optimizing a strong foundation of diet, exercise and stress management is key to exceptional health and wellness. In addition to helping patients build a strong foundation for health through naturopathic medicine, Dr. Estrada regularly utilizes advanced diagnostic laboratory testing to tailor treatments to the patient’s specific needs.

Naturopathic physicians believe a state of good health is an individual’s natural state of being and ill health is an adaptation in response to a disturbance or imbalance. It is the job of the skilled physician to identify and remove these disturbing factors so the body’s intelligent and innate process of healing can occur.

Furthermore, naturopathic physicians facilitate physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing since all are interconnected. Naturopathic treatment modalities include diet and nutrition counseling, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, botanical medicine, physical medicine, supplement prescription and behavioral change.
